The dog isn’t happy. UV is down but temp is still high. Maybe a shady side of the street blockie. He’s sitting outside already.

Still fussy about wet food… this is turning into Green Eggs And Ham

    Edit:

I would not eat it in a dish

I would not eat it though it’s fish

I do not like it in the street

I do not like it with a treat

    No siree, rack off dude

I do not like this wet cat food

        Thanks.

Just to clarify as well - ‘in the street’ was just for the rhyme. Melbcat is an inside kitty, living in a gilded cage for her safety and that of the wildlife

I don’t often get into debates about gossip, but when someone says a female actor/director/writer/artist is toxic, I’m always like were they actually a shit human or did they simply ask for the same respect their male colleague/s were getting or potentially did they eve just act like a human being for five seconds.

I understand where you’re coming from, and it is tricky. That said, there are plenty of toxic men and women in the arts. Best thing to do is read up and check your sources I guess.

Who sets up the rules for what toxic is? And who determines what the punishment should be? And who voted them in?

I’m watching the Fargo tv series for the first time. This is pretty good hey. She says, 10 years later. I can’t get enough of those Minnesotan 'nooo’s. I hear s4 is best skipped though.

( series 4 is also amazing.)

Melbourne: It’s been a hot day, would you like to follow that up with a humid night?

    Me: No

Melbourne: Okay, humid night it is then.

Important things on my to-do list: bookkeeping for my business, cleaning the house
Not on my to-do list: sorting out the multiple boxes of accumulated tech stuff that I’ve hoarded over the years

Guess which one my ADHD brain is hyper-focusing on today…

The oldest thing I’ve found so far is a 23 year-old Nokia 6210, also a Nokia 770 ‘internet tablet’ from 2006

Hey! I have the same todo list…I just spent three hours repotting and setting up moss poles for my pot plants. Yay for procasti-chores

Haven’t even looked at the bookkeeping, nor have I tackled the garage, but I’m purging the bookcases and going through old magazines we’d set aside for later and never got to. At least the yellow bin is filling up nicely.

Quick tip, if you can afford it, paying for services like a bookkeeper / cleaner / gardener etc can really massively change your life for the better if you’re neurodivergent

Instead of just sorting them, have you tried getting them to boot and seeing what you can get running on them? If they don’t work then are you looking in to how to fix them? Also once you’ve been through them all, just remember, you never know when you might need them so it’s probably worth putting them back. Also make sure to put them back exactly in the same spot and box they were originally in otherwise you’ll never find them again.

      Hehe…

My apartment is so warm even after running the AC all day it’s absolute bullshit. Maybe I should actually look around and think seriously about moving.

Sunset dins wrap was good tonight.

Not pictured was the doggo ‘ducky’ who came up for a bit of the wrap action. Naughty ‘ducky’. It wasn’t duckies’ first time they definitely knew how to game the situation. Owner ran over and leashed poor ducky.

But I have stolen a chip before so…

Alright, I’ve figured it all out.

    Cat rambles

The unexplained jumping was not asking for food like usual, but Melbcat wanting me to fix something that wasn’t immediately obvious.

She wanted to get into a tiny nook in the wardrobe that was occupied by a bag of stuff, and was asking me to move it. I had seen her interest but thought it was too small for her and didn’t want to risk her springing a leak in an annoying spot… but as soon as I did she crept in there and crawled behind the open frame chest of drawers (in a space made by a pulled out drawer). I’m going to have to organise/declutter the wardrobe and put pee pads down underneath just in case. I’d put a hidey box in there if there was enough room.

She will eat plain cold cat food from the tin with nothing else added so I don’t know if she’s objecting to the usual warm water, the tasteless medicine she’s usually fine with, the tasteless stool softener, or the pumpkin baby food she normally loves. However skipping or delaying her medication is keeping her in a cycle of feeling terrible. It’s not encouraging her appetite, plus she needs to have food with her antibiotics and really needs something to move her bowels.

So I’ve been a horrible human and thrown the skipped meal out, syringed dissolved medication and stool softener into her mouth, and given her some of the plain cold cat food. Hopefully a few days of this will get her back to normal. She hasn’t finished her course of antibiotics yet but if she continues acting funny after that and doesn’t become more regular soon it’s back to the vet.

Really wish the little bastards would use more than the one action to indicate multiple needs!

We’ve been giving punkin his meds either soaked in sour cream or ground up and mixed with those pureed treat snacks on a spoon. He’s now decided he hates hills renal bar the chicken stew and maybe the pate on occasion, so we’re basically just endlessly cycling throught food types to prevent the boredom. Although a dab of oil from my sardine jar drives him nuts, so we’re keeping that in the back pocket.

i know melbcat is allergic to the chikkens, but have you ever tried her on crocodile? Aussiefreezedried do treat bags
