A basic version would be that in a lot of Western societies, tanned skin is seen as more beautiful, and is a sign that you can afford to take holidays and be outside. In many hot Asian climates, white skin is more beautiful as it shows you can stay inside and away from manual labour work.
I assume your posts are about outer beauty due to the makeup comment, but, assuming you’re discussing in good faith, yes. It is seen as more attractive in many Asian cultures for women to be more ‘feminine’ (higher pitched voice, quieter, less willing to speak up) and subservient, whereas that is uncommon in western ones, at least to the extent which exists these days.
