I believe there are much more productive ways to waste your time besides this half assed lazy trolling.

You’re not living up to your potential young man!

Oh so your question is, “Why are feminists called ugly even if they’re rather attractive?”

Not exactly cos I believe the “beauty” concept it’s subjective but at the same time I understand there are society standards and not everything it’s subjective.

I agree that beauty is subjective but the reason feminists are so often stereotyped as ugly is mostly just pure misogyny… there’s nothing more complicated going on then some butthurt misogynists being butthurt. An interesting side effect is that not only is attraction subjective but it’s not purely physical (for nearly everyone)… the misogynist assholes call the feminist ugly as a baseless insult but they’re also less attracted to them because the feminist challenges their viewpoint.

This is also why, tragically, when loaded down with hormones in puberty, people often start viewing their friends as romantic interests - spending so many good memories with a friend attracts you to them and unfortunately may make the friendship untenable.

I’d really suggest more careful wording in the future because your question did seem like a troll at first.

              Interesting POV and information mate.

              Count on it 👍👍

One question… did you believe there is a social definition of what is an inner beautiful woman? I mean nowadays society it’s so focused into physical “beauty” of woman, but what about the inner “beauty”?

Women are tired of feeling forced to look pretty in the same way that men are tired of taking jobs they hate to support their family.

Looking pretty and doing a job are both things that are much nicer when done voluntarily. The idea that that’s how women or men are supposed to behave is just outmoded. And that even ignores the rich diversity of gender expression that society is finally just starting to grudgingly accept.

Assuming you are genuinely asking, “ugly” is entirely subjective. Someone might be unattractive to you for any number complex reasons, including the possibility that you are simply not who they are trying to appeal to (or they don’t make appealing to other people a priority at all, for political reasons, personal reasons, or just convenience), but there is no objective standard of ugliness, despite what mainstream media and beauty standards may want you to think. Everyone is beautiful to someone.

I reject the premise of the question. I do not perceive much if any difference in attractiveness between people of different political/social belief systems.

My attempt at translating this question to regular English: Are extremist feminist females “ugly” because they don’t wear makeup because of patriarchy and are “so feminist”? (Cut out some parts I thought were redundant)

No you’re missing his misogynistic point: you’ve got the beginning but it’s a chicken -and-egg question, the second half translates to “or do they become extreme feminists because they’re ugly?”

This is such an old-fashioned attitude, it’s the reason Kewpie Dolls were used in “vote to help Mother” ads by the Suffragettes, who were similarly portrayed by their enemies as unmarriageable, ugly, unfeminine and mannish. So old the ad poster was on Antiques Roadshow.

Oh…god I sprained my brain rereading it three times trying to reinterpret the last part. But yeah, the last part does seem to be asking if they are ugly and don’t use makeup because they are feminists. I thought he was just adding extra words to intentionally confuse people.

Revised version: Are extremist feminist females “ugly” because they don’t wear makeup because of patriarchy, or are they feminists and don’t wear makeup because they are ugly?

Like many others here; I just can’t figure out what was asked. No matter how i read it; it’s a mess. It really needs to be rewritten in plain English.

The premise seems to be that all feminists are ugly. The question seem to be asking if they are ugly because they choose not to be, as a result of their convictions or that they are attracted to the feminist cause because they were already ugly.

If this is the question, I would begin by saying that the premise is wrong and probably rooted in selection bias. I’m certain there are loads of feminists that dress up and use makeup every day that would be considered conventionally attractive individiuals. Maybe the asker is underestimating the prevelance of feminists in general. It is of course a subjective thing. Perhaps the asker just finds women with opinions unattractive.

So in summary; there are lots of women. The attractive ones are also feminists or subscribe to a subset of the feminist agenda. Or they might identify as egalitarianists. They just are not telling you.

If you would have instead asked if people that self identify as ugly are more likely to be roped in to feminist circles or are more vocal about it; I would have said I don’t know if that is true.

Anecdotally; I have met feminists of both sexes that I would consider physically attractive.
