can’t wait to see a repair bill for one of these in a fender bender
You talking about the zero damage on the tank or about the other non cybertruck vehicle.
I mean… It’s not a tank. That’s just marketing. It’s heavy and made of steel. But not a tank. Wheels and axles can still easily be broken and the battery is it’s own nightmare.
They aren’t literal tanks just a big heavy unpainted car.
I was responding to a fender bender. And for that the paintless steel is perfect.
I should have made it clear that it’s only in that regard a tank.
Right. But again is it? The bumpers are still plastic and will tear and break off just like a normal car so that’s no better and where the hit would likely be, and then it still crumples and the metal can sheer at higher speeds, which means replacing it more likely than welding it.
So side hits maybe? But still have those awful plastic wheel well covers and considering door electronics will be replaced it’s back to same effort as a regular car.
What is solved by it being unpainted steel other than minor scratches? Cause dents can be pulled from painted aluminum as well.
Least self centered Tesla owner
this truck reminds me of computer games from 25 years ago when the 3D graphics was just starting to be popular
Low poly but with realistic collision physics. Neat.
The cyber truck is a piece of shit. Tesla is an F-tier car maker and Elon can go fuck himself… but like this guy is just being considerate with this. If it’s not meant for walking, and it’s just crossed out due to issues with the building/garage design, then just scoot over a bit to give everyone else some space.
It’s as much self preservation, but I think it’s a no brainer here. You’re not being a going over on that side imo.
Not that you need to be afraid of someone dooring your stainless behemoth in the first place unless you don’t want to have to wipe their paint off your’s.
Aren’t little dings actually super bad for the Cybertruck because it rusts really easily?
Yeah, having them repaired is going to be a nightmare.
Deloreans had a similar problem. Dents and scratches couldn’t be repaired with traditional bodywork techniques. They had a special Brillo/scotchbrite pad that would put the texture back into metal if you buffed it too hard.
The metal is already exposed
Those lines aren’t for a handicapped spot, so honestly, more power to him. It’s dead space bc of the pillar.
Yeah, whenever you have dead space on one side you hug that side to give more space to both you and the person on the other side.
Last spot on the aisle, curb, pillar between spots, cart return, whatever.
Being a cybertruck driver he’s almost certainly a douche, but this isn’t why he’s a douche.
I mean, I wouldn’t have worded it that way, but I’m all for giving the guy next to you extra room so they can park easier.
The yellow hash isn’t protecting anything, such as a handicap space or a walkway. It’s just saying this one isn’t a parking spot because of the big pole in the middle.
Maybe if you’re blocking the driver’s side, but it’s the passenger side that would be blocked. Worse case, they back out and then their passenger(s) get in.
Least self-centered truck driver
Look at his parking, not centered at all
Nobody can park in the space he’s taking up. Parking on the line like that gives more space for the cars next to him.
We will find reasons to be outraged, though.
It’s like a vehicle in a game that’s in the distance using its low poly model and hasnt rendered yet.
Everybody always comments how the Cybertruck looks like a child’s drawing of a car, but to me, with its bland, shiny exterior and aggravatingly simplistic tail lights (come on, Elon, Volkswagen can figure this out), it reminds me of nothing so much as the sheet metal abomination Topgear came up with when asked to build an electric car
I am not a huge fan of the cybertruck, Elon, or Tesla but imo that Volkswagen looks exactly like a toy. I don’t like it at all.
I personally don’t think the cybertruck looks like a toy, it just looks weird and way too big. I don’t really see the problem with the taillights except that they are way too high up.
I also don’t think they made the cybertruck because they don’t know how to make a futuristic car. They have competent designers that know how to make a imo decent looking car.
They (quite likely being forced by Elon) just wanted to create a unique car. It’s likely that the design goal always was “a geometric stainless steel car” and not something they came up with after.
I personally think stainless steel cars look really cool, whether it’s practical or not I don’t know. A geometric car sound like it could be cool but this ain’t it.
The Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust was way better looking and had cooler features than the CyberTruck
I want that bus so bad but they’re definitely overpriced toys for the rich.
“Easy” he says, parking in a space that is fit for a fucking tank
Every picture of this car looks like someone did a bad photoshop of a lo-res car from a video game and it’s hilarious
Like the old Lara Croft
One passed me this morning. God it was ugly.
The fake-looking-ness of it is the only decent(?) trait.
If I was playing Quake and found one I’d be fucking pumped. Now? Not so much
“It’s so much easier to purposely park like a douche now!”
How is parking closer to the pillar parking like a douche?
Okay I know the second statement from him is the main point but I can’t just leave the first one be. Where the fuck is that a “tight parking garage”??? Ay parking garage that fits a cyber truck is not a “tight parking garage”. You can easily park 2 cars in that spot wtf
Very first thing I thought too. Absolutely mental to call that a tight parking spot.
I think he’s just admitting he’s a bad driver. I’ve backed trailers into tighter spaces.
Kinda related, but what’s the point of the area painted yellow anyway? It’s not like I can’t see the giant pillar without it.
Without it people would honestly see space between two cars and hit the pole. The yellow hashes are there because drivers honestly do hit these poles if the hashes aren’t there because drivers are looking for space between cars and sometimes don’t register the relatively small pole
don’t register the relatively small pole
That’s what she said… 😞
now consider that the pole is more visible than most humans are, and it becomes quite obvious why there are so many injuries and deaths around cars.
His mind will be blown if he ever parks a small aka normal car
I know it’s not the point of this post, but that’s “hugging the post”? He’s probably >2’ away from it!
