But they aren’t a half million they cost the same now, and dollar for dollar, a much faster car can be built. There is nothing underdog average guy about this any more at the price point. It was only cool when a $35k Skyline was beating a $70k Porsche, and the average guy could buy the Skyline. Not to mention electric cars now.
And? For the price of a major service and a set of tyres on either of them I can build a EG civic that could keep up with them too doesnt make it a supercar.
When it released it was significantly cheaper than “legit” supercars that it was every bit as fast as, these days I wouldnt say its as good value as it once was, its an old platform and old tech.
