I never go outside, I have no friends or girl. So during the day I said to myself “right, it’s Saturday, go outside, get a beer for the street kiosque later at night, go out for once”.

It’s 22:40 and I’m watching my phone on my bed. I’m not going out. I played some Xbox and now I don’t feel like going… I just don’t see the point, it’s hot outside and didn’t wanted to drink really. Also I don’t like bars anyways. I’ll watch some milf porn or something, then some YouTube and go to sleep at 2. I’m not made for this world.

Would you be a jerk to someone else? No, then try to be as kind to yourself as you would to them (uh… a hypothetical someone I mean). Today you didn’t want to, which is fine.

Just go out tomorrow, maybe sometime when it’s not as hot. Just 10 minutes, it’ll be enough, bc that will break the spell. No expectations other than that. Maybe walk around the block, or whatever.

Maybe the time after that, grab a beer, with the express intention of taking it home to drink it. No reason to push yourself any harder than that.

One day you’ll do exactly that, and meet someone thinking just like you, and maybe you can drink it together. But it won’t happen quickly, so for now just walk around the block - it’s enough.

It sounds dumb, but everything seems different since covid. All of my groceries are pickup curbside and we don’t go out nearly as much. It’s mostly work and home. I just made plans to go to dinner tonight and have friends over tomorrow and I’m already feeling like it’s too much and i want to cancel both.

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from. The heat alone is a good enough reason to stay indoors, not to mention if bars aren’t your thing. It’s all about finding what makes you comfortable and happy. For what it’s worth, I’m much more of an indoors person too. My ideal evening involves a good game on Steam and winding down with some videos. Sometimes it feels like the world wants us to fit a certain mold, but it’s okay to carve out our own path and enjoy things our own way. As introverts with vivid imaginations and unique needs, embracing what truly brings us joy is what matters most. Nothing is wrong with staying in and doing what makes you happy.

Hey if you’re happy that’s cool. If you’re not happy then you should consider getting out more

    Three things come to mind:

    1. I can relate.

    2. If your intention is to find friends / girlfriend then don’t go searching for them in places you don’t like going to or you’ll then need to keep going back there with them.

    3. I almost never regret going somewhere I didn’t feel like going to.
