It’s good that the lawmakers are holding Microsoft responsible and taking them to task about these incidents, but the only reason this is happening is because they were directly affected. If this weren’t the case, MS would’ve published their usual “we take privacy and security very seriously” BS and continued on cashing that check.

Also Microsoft is “sorry” but does that include giving all the money they got from the government, i.e. the taxes collected from citizens, back? I know the answer is “No” but this is another indicator that the government officials only care about their own privacy and security. If they cared about the tax payers, they would’ve asked for the money back.

Volvo, and Polestar, are owned by Geely Holding (since 2010), a Chinese car manufacturer and conglomerate, so I think the photo is quite apt.

This has always been an excuse by Signal, now that the “management” has changed, and even when Moxie was calling the shots. Despite claiming they don’t want their user’s private data, the require everyone upload their entire contact lists so Signal could create a social graph for themselves. A tactic all the surveillance capitalist social networks have employed to increase their user base. As long as this continues, everything they say or claim should be examined much closely.

Perhaps, and I’m not necessarily arguing about her track record before becoming the Vice President. My main issue here is that 1, she’s second in line, thankfully, not this raging misogynistic Christofascist, and 2, despite the limited duties of a Vice President in general, undermining her because of that is absolutely a rotten strategy.

He’s third in line to the US presidency! As much as the media has and continues to undermine and undersell Kamala Harris, she would become president if something were to happen to Biden. I’m just tired of all these fucking “journalists” acting like Harris doesn’t exist or has no value.

They’ve kept minimizing her, exactly like this, and have the audacity also to ask “Where’s Harris? What has she done lately?” I’m not a huge fan of her and I think her track-record as a prosecutor in California is questionable at best, but this kind of undermining is infuriating. The media should be much better at this!
